We actively participate in Rehabilitation Programme for the differently-abled children. The Home receives partial grant-in-aid from the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India, New Delhi in addition to public donations in cash and kind. It operates on a funding of over Rs.15 lakhs annually on the maintenance of the Home.
Children Benefiting From The Home
The Home provides free lodging and boarding to 60 children including 23 girls. that are mostly victims to Poliomyelitis and is unable to walk without support. The children belonging to weaker rural sections, scheduled castes and other backward classes are largely assisted by the facilities offered by the rehabilitation centre.
Life Changing Facilities
The home provides funds for surgical operations and subsequent physical rehabilitation. This facility has aided one dozen inmates who were unable to stand on their feet but after operation are now walking with or with out support. The JRC Home also organizes free Artificial Limb Camps for the fitment of artificial limbs and calipers to amputees and polio victims. About 500 amputees and polio victims have been benefited from these Free Camps. In addition, the Rehabilitation Centre facility of Shortwave Diathermy, Ultrasound, Electronic Traction with traction table, RPM, Rowing machines, static cycles, T.E.N.S., Muscle Stimulator , Wax bath, Multi Exerciser and other gadgets. The Rehabilitation Centre is open to outdoor patients. It is being supervised by a well qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist.
